the 2010 acting company

William Addis (dir: R&J) is in his 11th season with Bakerloo and his 8th as Artistic Director. He assumed leadership in 2003 after two seasons as director of education. William’s directing credits with Bakerloo in the capital region include Hamlet: What Dreams May Come, The Tempest, Macbeth, Love’s Labour’s Lost, Twelfth Night or What You Will, Design for Living, Desdemona Lives, A Long Conversation and Antigone, which he also adapted. He directed Bakerloo's production of Three Sisters, performed at various locations around New York City. He has been a guest artist at the United States Military Academy at West Point three times, has directed a variety of Bakerloo readings and workshops and has fostered a variety of new adaptations of classic texts, including this season’s Jane Austen City Limits. His production of Hamlet: What Dreams May Come was remounted at the West Side Theatre in NYC in January. William has worked with The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, 12 Miles West Theatre Company, Theatre for a New City, Prospect Theatre Company, Paper Beats Rock, Appel Farm Arts and Music Center, The Brooklyn Playwright's Collective, The Gallery Players and Roundabout Theatre Company. Recent directing credits include world premieres of 15 Miles to the Horizon by Jeannine Jones, Round and Round The Night Park and Through The Red by Maria Micheles and RUB by Joy Tomasko, as well as Shakespeare’s R&J and Am I Blue at Brooklyn College and Spring Dance, Savage/Love, Thunder is Just the Sound of Angels Bowling in Heaven and others at Marymount Manhattan College. This coming year he will direct Julius Caesar at Brooklyn College. William teaches directing at Marymount Manhattan College and Brooklyn College and previously taught at Westtown School, where he directed the first high school production of the landmark play The Laramie Project . He is a mentor for directing students at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. His work with students has been recognized by the Partnership for After School Education and the National Endowment of the Humanities. A native of Belleville, NJ, William currently lives in Brooklyn, NY. He holds an MFA in Directing from Brooklyn College and a BA in Theatre Arts from Drew University.

Lily Junker
(Co-Artistic Director/Juliet: R&J/Dir: UMW) is in her third season with Bakerloo, her first as co-Artistic Director. Lily joined Bakerloo as an actor in 2008 when she played Anya in Cherry Orchard and Caliban (with Eric Chase) in Tempest. Since then, she has acted, choreographed, taught workshops, directed and assistant directed for the company. She also developed and directed the 2009 Bakerloo-in-Pittsburgh staged reading of A Midsummer Night's Dream, as well as other staged reading fundraiser events. This season marks Lily's first as Co-Artistic Director for Bakerloo. Lily has worked in various capacities with City Theatre, Pittsburgh Irish and Classical Theatre, Phase 3 Productions, Little Lake Theatre and Open Stage Theatre. She studied dance and theatre at Mt. Lebanon’s Center for Theater Arts for 13 years, where she later worked as a stage manager, assistant director and teacher. She also spent several years volunteering with their Musical Theater for Special Actors program. Most recently, Lily assistant-directed the world-premiere production of Beautiful Dreamers for Pittsburgh Irish and Classical Theatre. A Pittsburgh native, Lily is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, where she directed Eugene Ionseco's The Bald Soprano, as well as a number of original ten-minute plays for The Red Eye Theatre Project and The Pittsburgh Pride Festival. While at Pitt, Lily also choreographed a production of Big Love, had two of her original 10-minute works produced and appeared in several productions, favorites including: The Insect Play, The Recruiting Officer and The Dreamer Examines His Pillow.

Charlie Brown (Mercutio: R&J/ Ensemble: UMW) is in his second season with Bakerloo, having appeared as Don Pedro in Much Ado About Nothing. Past credits with Pittsburgh Repertory Theater include The Wedding (Captain Karaulov), Tales of the Lost Formicans (Jim McKissick), Family Stories (Vojin), Ubu (Cotice), A Tale of Two Mondays (Tom), They’re Playing Our Song (Pip) and Pericles (Heilcanus). He has also worked with Prime Stage Theatre in Pittsburgh appearing most recently as Detective Lestrade in The Hound of the Baskervilles and Bob in The Outsiders. He is a graduate from the University of Pittsburgh with a B.A. in Theatre.

Eric Chase (Friar Lawrence, Capulet, Prince: R&J) is in his eighth season with Bakerloo, his fifth as managing director. is Managing Director of Bakerloo Theatre Project. He is an actor, director and producer currently based in NYC. He has performed in numerous productions of Shakespeare’s works, as well as many other classic and contemporary pieces both in NYC and regionally. His favorite Bakerloo roles include Gaev in Cherry Orchard, Caliban in Tempest, MacBeth in Macbeth and Puck in Midsummer Night’s Dream. His film work includes Shelter in the Storm, Dot the Movie, Crooked Symphony, Alyssa, and his greates claim to fame is being knocked out on One Life to Live. He has directed for The New Ensemble, Emerging Artists Theatre, Theatre Rats, and received rave reviews for his Arsenic and Old Lace for Dysfunctional Theatre Company. He is an avid reader (It is believed by some that his reading list is larger than the national debt) thus he recently joined the Board of Directors for Literary Manhattan. He teaches stage combat workshops for the Young Actors Guild at RPI. Each year he donates his time to help raise money for the A-T Project, a foundation designed to help find a cure to this de-habilitating children’s disease.

Ben Coppola (Stage Manager: R&J) is in his first season with Bakerloo and he's excited to be working with such an amazing company. He is currently a student at the University of Pittsburgh where he is studying Theatre Arts. Past credits include stage managing Gasmasks and Mud with University of Pittsburgh Repertory Theatre as well as assistant stage managing Scapin with Pittsburgh Repertory Theatre and Tomato Plant Girl with Shakespeare in the Schools. He'd like to thank everyone for their support, especially his family.

Lauren Diesch (Nurse: R&J/ Ensemble: UMW): recently graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a B.A in Theatre Arts. Since graduation she has worked on a variety of projects including a four month intercultural theatrical exchange with students from the University of Augsburg (Yinzerspielen, Oyster Theatre Company), a children's production of Babes in Toyland (Gemini Children's Theatre), a stage adaptation of the German novel Kassandra and served as a judge and coach for the Pittsburgh Public's Shakespeare Scene and Monologue Competition. This is her first year with Bakerloo, though she has worked with many members of the cast on other projects with Pitt Rep including: The Bald Soprano, The Recruiting Officer and Big Love. She is thrilled to be joining this amazing, cutting edge company and thanks everyone for welcoming her into the family.

Abigail Fudor (Peter, Gregory, Lady Montague: R&J/ Ensemble: UMW) is in her sixth season with Bakerloo. She has been with the company since 2005, when she first worked as part of the stage management team for A Midsummer Night's Dream and Design for Living. Since 2006, Abby has been increasingly involved with the leadership and management team of Bakerloo, culminating with a position as president of the board of directors in 2009. A native of Pittsburgh, PA, Abby is a graduate of The University of Pittsburgh where she earned her bachelor's degree in both Theatre Arts and Communications. Her acting credits include Death: A Play and The Boundary with the university's repertory theatre company and Bat Boy! The Musical with Pittsburgh Musical Theatre. In addition, Abby has worked with Pittsburgh Irish and Classical Theatre, Pittsburgh Playback Theatre, Pandora's Box, and Future Tenant in arts administration and management. In May of 2008, Abby graduated with top honors earning a Master's Degree in Art Management from Carnegie Mellon University. Following graduation, Abby was hired as Marketing Director of Dance Alloy Theater. She made her acting debut with Bakerloo during the 2007 Victorian Stroll in downtown Troy; her official debut on the Bakerloo stage was in the summer of 2009 as Dogberry in Much Ado About Nothing, as well as two roles in The Story Project. Abby can be seen weekly, performing and helping run Friday Nite Improvs, Pittsburgh's longest running all audience participation comedy show, and is a feature player in the Pittsburgh Improv Jam. More than ever, Abby would like to thank William, Eric, and Lily for helping her to be part of something so extraordinary. She would also like to thank the entire 2010 company for their dedication, camaraderie, and passion.

Parag Gohel (Samson/Paris: R&J/ First Voice: UMW) is in his second season with Bakerloo, previously playing Benedick in Much Ado About Nothing. Having graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with degrees in Psychology and Theatre Arts, Parag has played numerous lead roles for Pitt Repertory Theatre including: Constantine in Charles Mee's Big Love, the suitor and the groom in Chekhov's The Proposal & The Wedding, and Jerry in Tales of the Lost Formicans. Other credits include Banquo in Macbeth for Pittsburgh's Shakespeare in the Parks, Demetrius in Titus Andronicus and the title role in Amphitryon both for Pandora's Box debut season. He was recently involved in Yinzerspielen, a German-American theatre collaboration in which he acted and sound designed.

Becca Landis (Lady Capulet, Balthazar: R&J/ Ensemble: UMW) is excited to be in her first season with Bakerloo. Since receiving her MFA in Acting from Brooklyn College in May 2009, she continues to live and work in New York, where she can be seen on stage regularly with the improvisation troupes ComedySportz NY and 13 Degrees. Favorite theatre credits include: Julia in The Two Gentlemen of Verona, Mary Jane Hanrahan in Jesus Hopped the ‘A’ Train (Brooklyn College), Kimberly Bergalis in Patient A (Simpatico Theatre), Jackie O in The House of Yes (New World Players, and Mayella Ewell (Mt. Peter Martin (Romeo: R&J/ Ensemble: UMW) is in his first season with Bakerloo. Previous New York credits include A Resounding Tinkle at the Access Theater and Less Than Three at the Producers’ Club. Peter recently received his B.A in Theater from Marymount Manhattan College where he appeared in Savage/Love, Blind Date, and She Stoops to Conquer.

Patrick Shaw (Tybalt: R&J/ Ensemble: UMW) is very proud to spend his first summer with Bakerloo. A Pittsburgh native, he lives in Brooklyn where he writes, acts, and dances. Over the past few years, he has performed in Negative Space, Gone Eatin’, The Essentials of Flor, Quartet, Parallel Play (film), and Kitchen Hamlet (film). Patrick has written a number of plays including Hamlettes, which will be produced in the NY Fringe Festival this summer. His poetry has also been published in her royal majesty. A graduate of Kenyon College and the National Theatre Institute, Patrick dances with Spessard Dance and is a founding member of FullStop Collective (New York).

Adam Thomas Smith (Benvolio: R&J/ Ensemble: UMW) is excited to be in his 2nd season with Bakerloo, appearing last season in Hamlet: What Dreams May Come and Much Ado About Nothing. Adam received his BFA in Acting from Brooklyn College. NYC credits include: Actor 2 (Horatio, Polonius, Claudius) in Hamlet: What Dreams May Come with Bakerloo at The West End Theater, Haemon in Antigone at Manhattan Rep., Demetrius in Midsummer at the Eastwood Amphitheater, Allen Ginsberg in Kerouac at 13th Street Rep., and at Brooklyn College: Shane Mungitt in Take Me Out, CB in Dog Sees God, and Ariel in The Pillowman. Aaron Jefferson Tindall
(production stage manager) is in his third season with Bakerloo, having previously stage managed 2007's Imaginary Invalid, and appeared in last season's Much Ado About Nothing. He currently resides in Pittsburgh, PA, and is trying to figure out what he learned in college. He would like to thank his parents, sister, and dogs, without whose constant support he would surely be lost.
